September 4th I was cleared to volunteer at the Addiction/Recovery center in Bromenn Hospital. This is where I went to rehab. I went to the ward to get my dates and I was given the picture on the left. That was the first day I was sober. I was surprised I was smiling. Then I thought about it. This is when I realized there might be some hope and I didn’t have to feel like dying anymore. Since that day I have been living a life beyond my wildest dreams. My life is amazing and I get to travel the country. I post this so anyone out there may be struggling knows, there is hope. Whatever you do, don’t give up. April 23rd, 2012 was the first day of the rest of my beautiful life. 106,228,326 heartbeats and counting.
